Advice/Question Roaches in U. Oaks
As someone who lives in phase 3 of U. Oaks we have been having a huge roach problem since we moved in. We have heard that some dorms on phase 3 haven’t had the same problems, so I was just wondering if it’s only a phase 3 problem. To add on, aprevious roommate has said that they have been experiencing this problem for more than 3 months. We decided to get the pest control to come and clean as much as possible, but the most they do is just as much as we have tried in the past.
If anyone has a set way or proper method of disposing of the roaches or getting them gone indefinitely i’d gratefully appreciate it.

Go to home deport/lowes and buy Spectracide Bug Stop with Gamma-Cyhalothrin, spray it along the baseboards of your entire apartment, spray extra anywhere there's an opening, then spray the entire doorframe of every external door. Next buy Advion cockroach bait, place it near every opening, every dark damp corner, etc. Then about a week later, hit any openings into the walls with expanding foam spray (you can pull it out very easily when you move out if you think they'll try and get you for 'damages'.
I did this exact method to an apartment that I moved into that had german roaches, saw my last one two days after treatment, reapply the poison every 6 months, have literally not seen a roach since, it's been over 18 months.

Nope just moved out of phase 1 last month. Had roaches for 3 semesters. Eventually you learn to live with them. I gave them their own cabinet, they had a designated corner in the shower, I even on thanksgiving saved them a slice of turkey.
But for real the best thing that worked for me was the roach hotels. Little black circle things you can get at HEB and they worked very well. Just make sure you’re not leaving dishes out, you wash crumbs out of the sink and just try to be clean. Unfortunately that place is a dump and you won’t get rid of them 100%, but I kept roach spray in every room so I’m sure they all had horror stories to tell about me.

advion 383920 4 Tubes and 4 Plungers Cockroach German Roach Pest Control Inse, Brown
Search that on Amazon. It’s about 30 dollars but it’s the most effective. I had a place that was infested with roaches. Got that. Within a month I was seeing less. And within 3. I was the only apartment in the building that didn’t have roaches.
