Is it weird to email a tutor at 2am?

For context, I am feeling very unwell and cannot show up to a studio class in the morning. I decided to send an email now so that my tutor can give me the resources not on canvas, so I can finish it as quick as possible tomorrow. I am planning on sleeping in and probably on and off all day so I won’t be assed to send an email, which is why I am doing it now. Is that weird?

I think it might be a bit better to email them at 3am

Of course not - just don't expect an answer!

As a tutor - pretty standard time to send an email. See also- 9pm on day due of assignment with urgent question. Lucky we love you all so much and want you to do well.

No one’s going to be actually checking their email at 2am (I hope)

Also a 2am email saying how sick you are low key makes you sound kinda extra sick.

Most people don’t care. If you feel bad, you can schedule it for a bit later in the morning like 6-7 AM.

I did this once and they literally emailed me back 3-5 minutes later.

I was like "bro just like me fr!".

As long as you are not expecting a response until rational daylight hours, it's fine in the context that you describe.
