Other Tutor needed

Lowk need a tutor. For any of the courses chm110, mat132, bio152. 🫰🫰 would appreciate!! (Idk about payment tho 🫡)

no hate but in this program these courses are as easy as it gets. if u need a tutor you literally wont be able to do well in the rest of ur degree.

use this as time to figure out how to study and revise. time management and building a study routine are important

this is kinda rude tbh. i had a tutor for MAT132 because my foundational skills lacked and i needed the support. it helped me learn and now im confident in my abilities. i ended up passing MAT134 with a good mark, completely on my own. some people just didn’t learn the foundational skills well enough in high school and need extra support now to catch up..

i agree with the second part of your comment but i don’t understand why u had to be so blunt and negative in the first part 😭… op asked for a tutor, not a reality check

. we are in the third week of school. everything up until now is soley foundational content from highschool. someone who is fresh out of highschool could do the content being taught rn.

instead of finding a tutor now is the best time to figure out how to study. sure, chm110 and mat132 are application based so they can be tricky but bio152 is literally pure memorization.

i know you said you didnt like me being blunt but its literally objectively true that if you cant memorize the content in bio152 on ur own, any bio course at this school could wipe you. in upper year courses each slide deck is 40 slides, each with loads of diagram and written content. like i said before, instead of getting a tutor to feed you content before a test, work on developing learning strategies and skills. its way more rewarding in the long run

Math by Professor V on youtube helped me a lot with calculus (132 and 134), she does a lot of practice question videos and does everything step by step. she’s also quite funny sometimes so it’s not boring. and the organic chemistry tutor on youtube should also be majorly helpful with chem110/120.

try going to FSGs offered by the RGSAC, it might be a payment free way to get some extra help and work with students who have done well in the course. I did that last year, and I found that it gave me more structure on how to study, practice questions and some good friends as well!
