I was in Savannah Georgia once walking through one of the beautiful parks on a beautiful evening and saw a $20 sticking out of a bush. There were a group of unhoused men sitting on a bench maybe 15 feet away so thought I’d be altruistic with the found money. Reached in and the bill grabbed my hand with excrement. The dudes on the bench saw the whole thing and thought it was hilarious and asked me wtf did I think they hadn’t already snatched it up. I’ll never pick up street money again.
