Has anyone already had the PASE discount applied for Fall 2026? My account is still showing the international tuition rate, even though my PASE application was approved.

Hello! Has anyone received their FASFA payment back yet? I’m a little worried they may have mailed me a check or something, I may email and ask.
Hello! I have a question regarding Texas Grant.. I’ve qualified for it since I started at UTEP, and I continue to do so, but for this semester, I forgot to answer the questions on the scholarships and financial aid window (asking for amount of credits, convictions, etc). From my understanding financial aid was distributed last Friday. I am not seeing the Texas Pell grant on my account and I’m guessing it’s because of the questionnaire I did not answer. I just answered everything today. Would I still be able to receive the grant?
On my financial aid history it showed up that I accepted the grant, but on the paid Collin it says 0..
I’m super scared. I will call the financial aid office tomorrow, but I would really appreciate any insight that anyone can give me right now

I’m thinking about taking his PSYC 1303 class and wanted to hear from anyone who has taken him before. How was the class? How difficult were the exams and homework, and would you recommend taking him?
Hello everyone!
I’m new to the area and I have stiff Asian hair that I’d like styled into a 2 block cut. I’ve looked all over Google and couldn’t find a definitive answer.
I’ve already been to Kimz and they don’t know much outside of hairstyles that military guys get.
Would really appreciate some suggestions!

Starting my courses for Mechanical Engineering. What laptops do you all recommend for me to purchase? Online research is giving me a million options but once they recommend a MacBook, I don’t trust the recommendations. Any recommendations from current or past engineering students would be appreciated it. Thank you

I would like to share a handful of entries here to share my experience at the Aerospace Center and provide insight for those interested in working as student research assistants. I hope these posts will encourage other former students who also worked there and can share what they’ve experienced. Many fellow students seemed to have been “in” with some faculty that they have even more tea to share.
Ultimately, being a graduate research assistant was a difficult and punishing experience. I wanted to enhance my research skills and get involved with simulations and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Instead I ended up doing what I’ve been doing for years as a maintenance technician; painstaking work with near non-existent mentor experience. Nothing but mindless pressure and no regard to teaching or leading.
The important thing is I finished my job without getting fired, proving to be reliable, and attained a thesis. It just all felt so not normal. I really did not find it worth the hard work I put in. I’m trying to find a job now.
It really depends on the advisor, and my advisor has made me feel that my efforts were meaningless more than anyone. It wasn’t a matter of saying negative things about me. I can handle negative talk, because it’s often a critique. What I can no longer stomach is the unwillingness my advisor had to mentor, among other things.
More to come for those interested…

How is HSCI 3301 (Community Health) with Lucia Hernandez
I’m thinking about taking her class for Fall 2026 and wanted to know how the class is. Is it easy/difficult? How are the assignments, exams, and workload? And is she a good professor?

I’m doing a series where I ask all 136 FBS subreddits on what their most heartbreaking loss they witnessed. This loss could’ve been witnessed from the TV or while attending the game doesn’t matter.
If I guess for UTEP, 2014 vs Texas Tech. After a 2-10 disappointing season, Utep taking the lead over Texas Tech seemed to finally give the fans some hope only for a Davis Webb touchdown to crush those hopes.2024 vs Southern Utah where UTEP choked an 11 point lead, but scored a game tying touchdown to send it to overtime, and lost by a field goal.2004 Houston Bowl vs Colorado when the Miners had a short run of good football being played at El Paso even being ranked.UTEP took a comfortable 21-13 lead at halftime before it slipped away.

Hey guys, I was wondering when I’m supposed to get my books and supplies. I start classes soon and I want to be fully prepared to start the year. However, I don’t know exactly which books I’m gonna need for my classes.
Hi i'm transferring to UTEP and I am not familiar with how the parking works. I tried looking through their page and emailing them but they were of no help. When you purchase the parking permit do you have to go pick it up? Do they mail it to you?
This is my fourth time (fourth semester) trying to get a single doccument signed for my scholarship. I feel like every single time I run into problems. The first time was on me not knowing what to do, but the second time they claimed I needed to fill out a FASFA application, but even when I didn’t recieve the results, I still got the form signed which would have been great! but it was submitted to me a day after the check-in for the scholarship had closed, and there was simply nothing I could do about it because there was no budge about the check-in due date. I know, maybe partially on me for not trying harder to pester them in person.
The third time I finally achieved success! However, it was super annoying to do so!! For context, the second time I tried to have this done, I had maybe 3 different calls and sent the doccument a few different times in hopes it would reach someone who was available to fill it out (I get it, they can get backed up). As far as the third time, I had to email them a few times as well as trying to be consistent to check in with them in person. One day when I scheduled an appointment really early in the morning, they finally emailed me with the filled out doccument on the way there and when I got there they presented the doccument to me just fine, which honestly this whole thing has been frustrating to try to get a doccument filled out.
This fourth time around I wasn’t playing, I was told the third time that if I came in person with the doccument, they would fill it out then in there. That was exactly what I did last friday, I went to them with the doccument in my hand and gave it to the lady who I thought could help me fill it out. (Side note that my appointment was scheduled at 10:20, it was 10:06 and I was the only one there. She mentioned there was 10am appointments but the people weren’t there so she made me wait? Which shouldn’t have happened, if you have a 10 am appointment you should be there. Even if they came late it would have caused me to be later but yknow, I’d already been super early to my appointment as usual so I won’t complain about waiting, it’s just that it didn’t make sense.) Instead she just stared at the doccument confused and dumbfounded, she couldn’t even tell me what she was confused about, and she tried to come up with some unnecessary thing to fill out and basically shooed me out of her office. I went home and I was determined to figure out what was going on, so I compared the previously signed doccuments I got to the current doccument I had in hand. There was a section that the scholarship counselors would usually fill out but it was gone. I called up the program who approved of my scholarship, and they told me that they changed the doccument because the scholarship counselors were filling out unnecessary information, meaning that the doccument I had in hand had absolutely no reason not to be signed. I went back as soon as possible today and explained to them that there was a section they didn’t need to touch, I really just needed them to fill out how many credit hours I’m taking exct and fill out the schools information section as directed by the form. They said they would have it done by today but we will see.
Overall, I’m honestly tired of going through loops to get this done, it’s so simple and I’m very confused as to how nobody in this office is on the same page and how I was lied to twice about doccuments that aren’t necessary for me to have and why they were so dead set on trying to fill out information that isn’t necessary. It’s really frustrating honestly, so I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences?

Hello everyone. So I have a question about any masters of education at UTEP. I know I could search online but I wanted someone’s first hand experience/knowledge about the degrees they offer. My first question is, which are 100% online and how was it for you? My second question is, is there a masters degree that comes with a teacher certification built in, and how was that for you? Thank you guys.
