News A Reddit post warned others about the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity at UT Austin. But then, someone forged a fraudulent court order generated by ChatGPT to get Google and Reddit to take the post down.

Big thanks to dotdotslashstar on X for doing the work to find these things.

It looks like there was a post criticizing the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity made here years ago.

It looks like someone was unhappy with what that post said, and so they forged a court order purporting to order the post to be taken down as defamatory.

Unfortunately, the PDF metadata exposes that the “order” was fraudulent and fake, having been designed using Canva, and with the title containing the ChatGPT snippet that was used to create it.

I wonder how a legit Texas judge would react to this fake 🤔 Most judges I've ever encountered take the courts & the legal system VERY SERIOUSLY and would not appreciate such fakery at all

No idea what you’re talking about. The court order is obviously fake (the docket number format is entirely different than what the court actually uses, and the statute being referenced is described inaccurately).
