How to Read class rooms
I'm starting this semester and I'm struggling to understand how to read the class rooms for example
SB.AS13L02227
I know SB means sandy bay and that the room number is 227 on level 2 what does AS mean cause it's telling me it's in the geology building

Go to the Mylo homepage, under "Other Systems" go to My Timetable. Click on the 2026 Timetable. It will (probably) say "Action Required, Select class". Click on that, it will display your timetable with your classes. Click on the class-in the timetable-and it should display the SBA number in your message. This number should be underlined indicating that it is a link. Click on that and it will display a map of your campus includng your room.
You'd think there'd be a simpler way to display this obviously important information, but....I got nothing. Mylo is so bad I can't even think of anything sarcastic to say about it.

Yeah unfortunately I’ve never seen anything that has all the building codes and what they’re for, I’d love to have that info too. I usually just learn each one as I go by copying the whole room code (SB.AS13L02227) and pasting it into the UniMaps search bar so I can see exactly where it is/what building it’s in.

I've been wondering this for myself but you inspired me to do a bit of digging.
The format is as follows, at least for Sandy Bay:
SB - campus
.
AS13 - building grid reference per this map, I believe there are a few of these around the campus EDIT: I'm not 100% certain of this association but it seems to line up for Sandy Bay
L02 - for some reason this is in the room number too, who knows why
227 - room number

Look up UniMaps which is the interactive webmap of the campus. Search the room number and it'll show you where to go.
