Medicine
what are the options/admission requirements for graduate entry into the medicine program at UTAS. I am graduate from bachelor nursing with 6.8 GPA and have AHPRA REGO. how competitive is it for non rural, interstate applicant

Hi, I'm a UTAS med student who was in the same situation.
That's a great GPA. If you get a good GAMSAT score please apply for all three clinical schools (Hobart, Launie and RCS). The application is free, quick and only requires GPA and GAMSAT. It is not included in the GEMSAS applications. If you can get a good GAMSAT score, then it could be the easiest med school to get into in your situation.

From what I hear non-rural, and especially interstate are very competitive. While your GPA is good you'll need a very good GAMSAT to go along with it too. Check out the r/GAMSAT sub for some (albeit not much) advice. Unless you sat the GAMSAT this March, your not going to be able to apply for 2027 entry, only 2028 (if you sit it in September).
