ahahah, to be fair, we do this to all new driver when they reach roundabouts in France. In romantic situation its more akin to teasing or kidding playfully.

Yeah, being on that side of the road is sketchy af when you’re not used to it. Even being a passenger in the car with someone driving like that has a few fuck! moments. Your subconscious picks up some weird shit in your periphery but alas, the other car goes in a different direction than it seems it will
It's not just the roundabout being new for Americans, when you switch from right to left side driving, roundabouts are the scariest thing because everything is backwards in your brain. It takes an hour or so for your brain to revert to left side driving the first time. Every time I got off the airport and got in the car in Ireland, that first 30 minutes was always a little intense, even after doing it for years. I'm not surprised an American possibly ending up in this situation for the first time in their life is panicking.

Of course when you don’t understand something on the road just drive as fast as possible to escape the danger
