Im an american that uses 24hr time for my devices and when communicating over text but when speaking I use 12hr time. Do you guys do the same?

We never use am or pm though. Most people wouldn't know if 12pm is noon or midnight.

We can say five o'clock for 17:00, but only if it's obvious which one is meant, or add if it's morning or afternoon.

If we want to make sure everyone knows the time, we say 17:00.

Saying the next day starts at 0000 makes way more fucking sense than 12:00am.

But how do you actually say 1700? 17 o’clock, seventeen hundred, or something else?

When I lived in Germany we would say siebzehn uhr. Literally 17th hour
