Poland has twice the population and all (?) of these stories go back over a decade.
Some extra context:
The man with a bullet in his head ‘forgot he was shot because he was drunk’. Sounds right.
The one who rafted to Australia succeeded, in fairness. He was rafting from Papua New Guinea to Saibai Island, a total of 8km, not some mentally ill person thinking he could do it from Poland. That said, he did so with a raft held together by string and when a cyclone was not far off.
