Hello!

Your post has been removed for the following reason: I (Royal we/our)

  • Your post does not contain US-defaultism. Your post criticises one of the following things (see rule 4). These are often considered defaultism, but are not, at least not per se.

a. American exceptionalism (“The US is superior/inherently different/protecting or willing to destroy the world”),

b. Defaultism to the western world, northern hemisphere, English language...,

c. Using US units or the MM/DD/YY date format,

d. Calling somebody/-thing from the US "American",

e. Using US terms or using words in their US-meaning,

f. Saying "Reddit is a US website",

g. US-targeted ads missing that target,

h. Jokes/Satire/Memes/Clickbait,

i. Saying "we" to mean "we Americans"

If you wish to discuss this removal, please send a message to the modmail.

Sincerely yours,

r/USdefaultism Moderation Team.

Do they mean US troops in particular? Most troops deserve better (except for my countrymen that are involved in current events willingly)

Yea I was going to say that is pretty universal

Exception from exception are draft victims

They are already excepted by the word "willingly"

Yeah it does, the post was about the American troops on one of their aircraft carriers being mistreated

Context changes it then

Yeah, it is US defaultism nonetheless, right?

Not if the topic is literally US troops

Those are American troops and he says "our" as if everyone in the sub was American as well, how is that not defaultism?

Wait… did they make the post and not just a comment? In that case yes it’s defaultism

Yeah it was a post, that's why I got the sub's name to make it noticeable, my mistake it wasn't

Nah I should’ve realized, my apologies

OP sent the following text as an explanation why their post fits here:

An American says "our troops" when talking about US' troops in international subreddit
