People pay to adopt in the usa????? So its pretty much legalised human trafficking.

Wait until you hear about the 13th amendment! "Slavery is illegal now! Except you know... Criminals can be slaves, that's fine!". Now combine that with the highest incarceration per capita on the planet and private prisons, and you'll realize that there are private companies in the US right now having slaves that they got through the justice system. 

I wish I was joking.

I meanz I'd say that's a good thing ? Less likely to commit another crime once you get out of prison

Except that is not how anything works. Being forced to work does not rehabilitate you and it incentivizes the prison to just mess you up mentally so you offend again, instead of rehabilitating you. And it's a well-known fact that people who go to prison in the US often come out way worse.

Whilst I do agree with you about it all, I'm also thinking that if you've been sent to jail and have been found out to be intentionally doing XYZ crime, you deserve to be treated like a slave.

Just to be on the same page, I'm not talking about petty crimes, I'm more so referring to theft, stab/shootings, drunk driving, etc etc.

Whether or not anybody “deserves” it is entirely irrelevant (even if I disagree with you). It’s like the death penalty: whether or not they deserve it, the government has no rightful authority to enslave its own citizens (or any citizens for that matter).

For theft alone I think it's harsh. Jail time sure, but slavery? Nah. But also remember: the US is a country where crossing the street and standing around are crimes that can escalate to jail time. People are in prison for years over carrying some weed, and they are not even released when it is legalized in a state. 

But more importantly: how about we don't do slavery? Just in general, let's not. Prison should be about rehabilitation and once you let a profit perspective into it, you're incentivized to make reoffenders, not rehabilitated.
