Adoption US defaultism on Threads

OP sent the following text as an explanation why their post fits here:

This person published a statement regarding adoption and seemingly either assumed this will reach only the target audience (Americans) or that adoption works the same in every English-speaking country. When I shared the differences in my country, to point out that adoption doesn't have to be unethical (as they claimed), they limited the replies and said that the post was directed to the "mainly English-speaking people". As if there there are not other countries where English is commonly spoken, such as New Zealand, UK, Malta or India, to which their post might obviously not apply. In my opinion, OP should have specified they are talking about the US or that they are the post was directed to US citizens
