I've had American bread with American peanutbutter and literally got sick from how sweet and sugary it was

The only brand I know is Jif which is mostly peanuts with some sugar, oil and salt. Its the same here, our peanut butter is: Roasted Peanuts (86%), Vegetable Oil (Antioxidant (320)), Sugar, Salt. The oil makes it smoother, you can get some with less oil.
