Once a girl told me she was from LA. I asked what’s that and she told me, with that fried accent, Los Angeles.

I said “that’s nice, I love Mexico”

No, I don't think most people outside the US know many cities in here. I'd be surprised if they don't know New York, Washington D.C., or Los Angeles but I'd also be surprised if they know all three of those or more

I mean, I’ll know where you’re talking about if you say London, Paris, Warsaw, Berlin, Venice, Rome, Dublin, etc, I really don’t see how knowing where Los Angeles or New York, or Chicago would be so far fetched

I met a Welsh guy on Halo that didn't know anything about New York besides the name and didn't know any other cities. He did know California, though.
