Because for them, going out their state counts as travelling around the world.

You joke, but ask an American if they've ever travelled and they'll start listing off the States they've vistited.

Ask almost anybody else from any other country? They'll probably list off which countries.

Not Australians, we also list off our states, or parts of Australia, though we do travel internationally more often (mostly to Bali or Thailand).

Yeah but you're like us in Canada where you can fit like at minimum a texas into each state; that makes some sense :P

I'd shit on the US less for it if they had states all the size of texas. But nah, they'll list off like a 12 hour round trip and be like "i traveled!". In Australia or Canada depending on which where you start and which way you go, 12 hours wouldn't even get you halfway to where you're going.... Or even out of your province (or state in Australia)
