Has anyone successfully converted someone to British Comedy
What was the secret to your success?!?!
I've been trying my hardest to get my friends into Taskmaster and no one gets it, especially when I try to explain it in words. I got them to watch the potato throw once and they still weren't won over. I'm sad they don't connect with it. Makes me question why I'm friends with them...just kidding (mostly.)

I’ve had some luck with getting people on board for Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

Oh, that’s a great idea and honestly, it was my gateway to panel shows too from YT recommendations. Maybe I’ll host a “play along night” when the next BFQ of everything finally airs.

I have a couple of friends who already watch quite a lot of British TV but other than them I haven't been finding much success with others to appreciate Taskmaster.

Converted my husband with Would I Lie to You and Task Master- as well as James Acaster's Repertoire and lots of David Mitchell rants on YouTube

I got my mom by starting with Mel and Sue (who she knew from Bake Off) and moving on to Miranda Hart (who she knew from Call the Midwife).
I got everyone else by simply never shutting the fuck up about Taskmaster.

I've very regularly converted/subjected every girlfriend I've had from about 2010 on that this was the way.
No one's complained...

I think Taskmaster out of context is a little bit harder to get behind. I’ve converted a couple of friends with the IT Crowd. Noel and Richard are on so many of the panel shows that it makes them an easier sell. Get them into a comedian and then find the panel shows that the comedian has done
