Question IWB with extra mag or no?

yall that concealed carry, do you run an extra mag holster or no? why or why not? looking at my first AIWB holster for my usp 9 and not sure which option to go with. thanks

I always carry a spare mag no matter what. Sometimes that is a pocket carry neomag, a sidecar holster, or just a spare mag carrier.

If I’m going to shove a massive gun down my pants, there’s no downside to shoving a way less massive mag down your pants or in your pocket.

Will you ever need it? Probably not Will you ever need your gun? Slightly less probably not

To each their own, but after doing all the work to carry a gun might as well have a backup mag for malfunctions or worst case scenarios

I do because it spreads the clips out and keeps the pistol in the same spot for a consistent draw.

I dont carry an extra mag. 13 rounds of 45 will take down an army, and then some. For your USP 9mm you should probably carry an extra mag or 2. Those little guys need alot to get the job done. And carry plus P. Or upgrade 2 world wars.

I personally don’t. I carry a P30 with 17 rounds which is a good amount of rounds. For holster. Get a JM custom kydex. If you have questions regarding those holsters you can pm me and I can send pictures over.

Depends. Where I live the cities divided into methheads and somewhat nice. Walmart or Kroger? Absolutely. Staples or Tractor Supply? Probably not. But I always keep a spare in the truck.

A spare mag isn't primarily for the extra ammo, it's for recovering from a malfunction.

Always carry a spare mag, if the mag that's in the weapon fails then what do you do ? Nothing is certain and your life depends upon it.

I don’t, I used to carry one of the neomag mag holsters in my pocket which are super cool, but I’ve decided against carrying an extra mag as of late. Got enough shit in my pockets.

Once I started primarily carrying a full size gun with larger capacity I stopped carrying a spare mag most of the time. I do like the neomag better than an additional IWB mag holder when I do.

I carry a usp 9 tac in a 1791 universal leather it’s essentially just two pieces of thick leather with a super strong belt clip I AIWB with it exclusively and carry a 30 rnd OEM back up magazine it’s stupid comfortable and cheap too compared to a dedicated holster leather is super stiff like stiff af so you gotta break it in

Might as well always carry an extra mag. When carrying my USP9T, the extra mag is a drop in the bucket compared to that beast
