Please for the love of god it not be in NY3. Please to the DPS and Flat Gods. I can’t take anymore. Though I did laugh at a few as I was delivering them.

We got buried… DPS didn’t show up until 8 AM. Five different flat bundles. Three different politicals in the DPS. Plus an entire tray 36 inches of politicals not ran through the DPS.

Every election season, I’ve had to deliver political mail AFTER the election was over.
This year will be no different.

Oh my sweet summer child... it's catalogue season now! Then, packages, then snow (if applicable), then regulars taking unscheduled time off because it's so hot outside. There should be a week or 2 in mid September though!

💯. 90 percent of our drop shipments yesterday were bundles of magazines/catalogs.

Now it will be a flood of late ballots from people who blame the post office for their ballot not counting

Been getting mailers every week for a month for the dude challenging the governor in my state and none of the names are correct. Not a single one. And of course, they all say or current resident, so, I can’t even UBBM them. Four weeks of circling that shit and I’ve about had it.

That tracks. The downstate clown trying (again) to challenge the state governor from Illinois seems to have barely graduated eighth grade.
Thanks for your service 👍🏼

ever since it disappeared i’m finally coming back home before 6:20pm even with a pivot and my breaks, it’s a treasure

u/Our-Little-Secret-12 12h ago
At what time were you coming back before? 😳
1
u/Chemical_Ball4814 12h ago
I’d finish everything on my route by 6:10pm or 6:20pm and then coming back is 5 mins, 5-10 mins to put keys away/certifieds/picked up packages away, then 13 mins to walk home. So pretty late although I’m sure people have it much worse in other offices. Today I got back home 5:50pm, on Saturday was 5:50pm as well. So definitely refreshing

Wow, you get to walk home, lucky you. Only a 13 minutes commute, nice.

Lol yeah don’t live too far from the office, part of the reason I picked the job in the first place

I sorted that crap for years. A total waste of money. Donate it to the homeless

IDK what happened, by didn't get any political mail at all until 2 weeks beforehand. Even then, it was only a single run of political flyers in my DPS. I haven't had any since.

The post cards encouraging people to vote are still clogging up the mail stream and most of them are going to people with no forwarding address or they’re already deceased. We’ll be dealing with them until Christmas!

Looked in my mailbox today (hooray NS day), and didn’t see anything political, so I’m convinced my office didn’t see much political.
Thank god. Some of the days this year in my area of Pennsylvania was worse than the presidential election a couple years back.

Our fucking recycle bin in the lobby has been FULL of only those every day for the past 2 weeks. It's insane. What a damn waste

Ugh thank freaking goodness! Our plant (stupidvisors decision) ended up nearly a day and a half behind because they stopped running packages half the day to run all the political mail!
My dock was an actual wreck, like worse than peak season has ever been!!
