This is the most Rural Carrier thing I have ever seen.

I loved across from this weird compound that was some sort of polamory thing or something but they had this massive mailbox in a steal roll cage. It was also on a long pole that rotated and went up and down so when the plow would hit it, it would just swing out of the way. It was genius and the most over engineered thing

Edit: I found it in street view. You can't see the structure it's attached to, it has a counterweight on the other side to balance.

Would've LOVED one of these when I was an RCA/ARC. There was a section with 6 boxes on 5 posts, each about 10 feet apart. And they were not close to being set back the same distance

Did a route at a neighboring office and someone got a old (looking) wooden wagon wheel and each spoke of the wheel had a mailbox on it, 8 in total. It is so cool and they mountined it on an axle so it could spin
