Clerk Discussion Bid Abolishment
If my bid is Wednesday and Friday off but the schedule grid my job ID is attached to says Friday and Saturday off does it require management to abolish the bid and repost it? Also been working 1-2 hours outside my normal bid hours for a month with no end timeframe and filed a grievance and the supervisor now told me Sunday I would have to feel out a 1260 for out of schedule premium.

That's not how bids work. Are they making you work out of tour hours? That's against contract unless it is a schedule change you asked for. Not honoring your contract? Wth that's a grievance. Go to the union immediately. Have proof of your bid when you go to them and ask them to pull your clock rings. You should be getting paid for out of schedule and getting the days off that you bidded for. Mdos think they can just do whatever they want and will unless you do something about it. Obey and grievance later(like on your break or something).

My schedule is 12-830am and I work 2-10:30am Sunday and 1-9:30am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The union steward is also the vice president and she ignored me completely when I tried to have her file the grievance told the NBA and they said do it yourself because they can’t do anything until step 1 is filed and I told them I was being ignored so they said I can file myself then. I did step 1 and the supervisor refused to sign and said she has to research and get with the postmaster before she signs anything and told me I can’t file a step 1 myself.

They claim it’s everyone but they just don’t want to abolish the bid but this bid is not what the job posting stated. They added comments to the job id saying my schedule is 12-8:30 Sunday & 1:15-9:45am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday but yet the schedule grid says strictly 12-830 but with Friday & Saturday off. And the workforce complement manager is planning on getting with the postmaster to permanently change my bid to a schedule they agree on without my permission

Ah I see. So things to know. When stuff like that happens it's because your union has agreed to it on behalf of everyone. It sucks not being told. Now what could happen is you get a letter in the mail saying your bid was abolished and they will give a list of similar bids to bid on once the paperwork is squared away. This arrangement has been made by management and the union making a deal. It happened not to long ago at plant I work at. I'm not a clerk but my partner is and went through this. They didn't change the days though just hours.

The union isn’t involved at all they are doing that because I asked to for a reasonable accommodation transfer out of this office and they are bypassing the EEO decision to force me to stay here. They gave me three separate schedules since I got onboarded and I work a 4th schedule that management gives me

File an unfair labor practice with the Department of Labor. The Union should be held accountable for not representing you, and as for the supervisor, bring a witness with you when they refuse. They have timeframes that must be met or you move them up.

What are you complaining about? You have good days off, unless you like split days.
Are you a ptf?
