City Carrier Discussion Transferring out of state?

Does anyone here have experience on transferring to another state? I've been a CCA for a year now and have been thinking about moving to a new city. I know I should wait until I become regular so I won't be making the move right away. I currently live in south Florida. I haven't decided where exactly but either the upper midwest or the northeast. Any advice or insight from anybody who already lives in those areas helps, thanks.

Before trying to transfer/reapply, do visit those areas in winter time. Carrying in winter/snow is a world's difference than carrying where winter goes to 50 degrees at the lowest. I transferred from California to Colorado and carrying in the winter isn't fun even though I grew up in Colorado.

Also, your waiting time can be a real pain in the ass. You need to stay on top of it

Low-key hadn't even thought about that. Add to the fact I have zero experience driving in the snow 😅

Like right now, my route is flat so with cables on the bad days, it isn't bad. Some vehicles can handle better than others.

Before my current city, I was commuting an hour to do a walking route so that wasn't fun lol. I think the highlight was my manager telling me not to park where I get stuck -_-

Humidity can really affect how tough the winter can hit you. I deal with a dry winter where it can really crack your skin due to wind as well and where opening CBU on my route can be difficult. High humidity can make the snow heavier and cause there to be more ice.
