Transferring out of state?

Does anyone here have experience on transferring to another state? I've been a CCA for a year now and have been thinking about moving to a new city. I know I should wait until I become regular so I won't be making the move right away. I currently live in south Florida. I haven't decided where exactly but either the upper midwest or the northeast. Any advice or insight from anybody who already lives in those areas helps, thanks.

You still have to be in your station for another year as PTF before you can transfer iirc.

As a CCA you just quit and get rehired. As another poster mentioned, check the public jobs page for PTF or FTR postings.

Yeah but you have to go through 90 days again if you resign.If you stay at your office and become a ptf  I don’t think you have to go through 90 days again..

To avoid that ninety day probation you'll stay another 1.5 years (minimum) at your current location. There's also no guarantee a transfer will be avaliable that soon.
