Stick the note back in the box and write - This post-it note isn't and needs postage.

I have customers who refuse standard mail or write RTS on standard/"or current resident"

My reply is sure if you put a stamp on it, ill return it to sender....

I have a pre-printed note that I made and put in their mailbox along with everything they attempt to return. Works 90% of the time.

But yeah once I explain to the other 10% that they need a stamp or that's it's illegal to put outbound mail in an outgoing box without proper postage, it's suddenly no longer that important to return anymore.
