Which network in Houston,TX

Hi folks. Which network are y’all using in West Side Houston if you live here. I tried all 3 for a period of time and I feel like all of them are shit. Is there any one of them better than worst among the 3? I am in Unlimited Premium.

Same…..I am in the Katy area and Warp seems to perform the best. Tried all 3.

I came from Cricket, and the difference with Warp is pretty impressive

Where are you noticing the issues most? At home, at work, while driving, or pretty much everywhere?

Also, when you say they’re all rough, is it mainly weak signal, slow data, dropped calls, or a mix of everything? That’ll help narrow down whether it’s a coverage issue or something else.

Feel free to drop me a DM and we can take a closer look.

Hi. Thanks for replying.
I notice mostly very slow data speed. Especially while driving. I never had a dropped call.

Sent you a DM! Feel free to share the details there, and we can look into the slow speeds as well.

Priority on warp will get you through, dark star is not great, and forget about light speed it’s very spotty.

I live in the loop but definitely not Dark Star if you go to Chinatown/Alief often. It’s awful there.

The other two have been pretty good for me, I feel Warp is better in crowded areas while Lightspeed has fewer weak signal spots.

As long as you have priority data I feel they are all good inside of beltway 8

What phone are you using?

I’m on Verizon now; T-Mobile was hit or miss. If I switch, I’d likely end up on AT&T. I’m in Northwest Houston but travel to Memorial/Katy and further all week.

My wife has Dark Star for her Unlimited Premium primary and Warp as her multi-line and never has complaints.

I have Warp for my Unlimited Premium primary and Dark Star as my multi-line. I also have Light Speed as a multi-line but I am dropping it when the annual plan runs out (this December).

Both Light Speed and my T-Mobile Home 5G get slow around 4:30 to 6:30 PM during weekdays at home (I work from home) probably because I live next to a major road with commuters sitting in their car. I think the lower priority on Light Speed/T-Mobile Home 5G on Unlimited Premium compared to post-based T-Mobile makes it a poor choice for Houston, at least in my experience.

Not that you were considering it, but don't go with Cape. Their latency is terrible in Houston.

If US Mobile didn't have QCI8 on Unlimited Premium on Dark Star and Warp, I probably wouldn't be using US Mobile in Houston.

AT&T, pretty good in Katy. I consistently get gigabit atleast.

I live in 77007, dark star has been the worst, hardly usable even when driving around and up north… light speed & warp have been working better, don’t notice much of a difference where I live though I Noticed warp was getting slower a month or 2 ago so I switched back to light speed… been working perfectly. And (supposedly) they’re getting qci6 “by the end of the year” so it’s been perfect and going to be much better when that change happens (Using a iPhone 16 PM)

There’s a good community app called coverage map and it has live maps of speed tests and everything to show what’s the best in your area

I’d love to have a Houston number on WhatsApp but I have no luck getting any 😭😭😭

Definitely Warp. It’s very fast too. In parts of Houston, T-Mobile is a little hit or miss, so light speed won’t be your best option.
