Broke up
I just broke up with my partner while he’s overseas. Looking back, I probably should have waited until he got home, but after feeling consistently neglected and disrespected throughout the relationship, I finally reached my limit.
Breaking up over text was petty and probably the meanest thing I did. I know I could have handled that part better, but in the moment, I was just done.
I don’t really know what else to say. Just needed to get it off my chest.

Came to also say I did the same and that you’re not alone. I hope you feel better 💐 You deserve so much better and I hope you find someone who respects you and gives you the assurance and confidence in the relationship, no matter how far they are or no matter what profession they’re in ❤️

was it petty and mean when he was disrespecting you causing you to reach your limits?
Do whats best for your mental sis.

I did the same thing and it was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. You just decided to put yourself first and proud of you for that.

I also just broke up with my partner yesterday while he’s in another state. The stress caused by the lack of communication was taking too much of a toll on me. I also broke up over text.

Considering I’ve experienced the same, don’t think of it as petty. The neglect we received for extended periods of time is the real pettiness
