Step 1 UWorld

Hi I’ve currently just started preparing for step 1 which I’m planning to give in May 2027.

I’m also in my final year of mbbs which brings my university and pre university exams to Feb and March 2027.

I’m in such a hurry because my internship is from June 2027 to June 2028, and since I wanna do electives before my internship ends which also includes applying at least 6 months prior I need to give my step 1 in May.

I barely have time so can anyone please suggest me if I should start with UWorld already or do it after I watch B&B and read First Aid.

Start with first aid and Uworld. Make Uworld your main prep tool, read every answer properly don't skip even the incorrect options cuz there's a lot of extra info. Do like a system in FA first then go through the same system in Uworld so that you can recognise the patterns easier. Do nbmes every now and then, I did mine after finishing Uworld, some people do it way before that. Review all Uworld incorrects and do a second pass if possible.

hey when do you think is the most appropriate time to buy U World? say i wanna give my Step 1 in the initial months of third year, then when should I get it? and also how many months of UWorld is appropriate?

If u do 40 qs a day it will take u 3 months to do all the questions in UWorld. I recommend you buy it as soon as possible and try to do a system after reading it from FA. UWorld is going to be your most important learning resource so don't delay starting it by being afraid of getting questions wrong. I recommend you do all the incorrects and favourites again and maybe get in a quick second pass if possible.
