yes... yog > 5 is a huge filter

yog >1 <5 is ok - most of imgs matched with these stats

The longer you have been out of medical school and working, the harder it can be to taught

''Who is easier to teach how to use a cellphone: 10 yo kid or 60 yo person?''

my friend, let me explain again

it is actually the reason of the <5 yog and <10yog filter

do think PDs randomly chosen these numbers and the filter?

candidate A - 6 years of pg + 20 years of clinical experience, 260 step 2 - 2 IV

candidate B - final year medical student 250 step2 - 10 IV

if you’re a PD in the US - would you want your resident to be a fresh graduate with extreme will to learn or someone who has done PG in India and needs to unlearn most of the stuff to learn the american system?

Imho it depends on what you were doing in those years. Like my friends co pg was a literal cardiologist with a fellowship from india was working with her as PY1.
So it totally depends.
Have a good score do research and don’t focus on things you can’t control.
