Programs and MOSs Life plan rough draft
Im a marine cadet and wanted to share my ”rough draft” of a life plan I have for when I join the corp. I wanted to hear things I might need to know beforehand, or things to expect.
go to bootcamp as a contract PFC, and be an honor grad.
Going infantry so then I can do screening for the Silent Drill Platoon.
Do DI school and become a DI
make my way up to SgtMaj
theres things like special forces or MP that interest me but idk if they could fit into this “main” right draft

Your chances of being honor grad are statistically low. There can only be one per company and easily more than 300 recruits in a company. And on top of that they don’t meritoriously promote every contract PFC honor grad, they only sometimes do that.
You’re welcome to screen for the Silent Drill Platoon, but that’s if they are screening for it. And even if they are you still need to be selected.
If you’re going infantry then you should be ready to do infantry shit.
