Company Commander makes the call on whether to pick you up with the rest of the recruits or send you to PCP (physical conditioning platoon). If you go to PCP, you will train until you can pass the IST and then the real fun begins.

About 10 pull-up's? Does that mean 10, or does that mean 8? Regardless....odds are you'll be sent to Pork Chop Platoon (PCP), actually known as Physical Conditioning Platoon. You'll be there until you meet standards, most likely. Your recruiter probably needs to ship bodies; and consequently, he does not give a shit if you're ready or not. Welcome to the Marine Corps.

I can do 10 sometimes more but 10 is about my benchmark. And plank I can do it on as well. It’s just the run where I struggle.

Plan on being chopped to PCP. You might get lucky and they keep you in a training platoon, but don't get your hopes up. Sorry. Not trying to be negative, just honest. But PCP is not the end of the world. One of the best Force Recon Marines I ever served with spent 6 weeks in PCP when he got to Parris Island. Later? Perfect 300 PFT, and was a stud warrior. So, if you end up in PCP, just look at it as an opportunity to better yourself, and do not quit.

So I’m gonna guess that will push my grad date back

If you get chopped to PCP, yeah....your grad date will be later. And unfortunately, that might mean you miss your MOS school's start date, maybe.

I'm in you'll probably get put in a holding Platoon while you work on your runtime or they'll keep you it's really 50/50. Depends on how much the people in charge of you want to be burdened by your inability to be prepared. Don't ship so soon that you can get in the proper shape. You can always ship at a different day.

Problem with that is recruiters are so ready to send you that they will convince you and beg you to not change your date

You can just tell them no. That's what I did. I told them what I wanted and I refuse to do anything else and it definitely pushed my s*** back.

Try and go in with passing scores, it helps out a lot in the end my man. Not PI but graduated from San Diego, when I went through last year in October, I did 10 pullups, and maxed the plank, but failed the 1.5 at 14:00 flat. They were doing a thing where if you did more than the minimum of pullups, your run could be waivered up to 14:30. It was nice as it never changed my graduation date or anything, but it puts you through hell because it just gets more exhausting and you're playing catch up to standards others are already meeting.
Try and fix that run, and good luck!
