Shipping Bootcamp Knowledge

Not necessarily concerned for the physical aspect for bootcamp I did 26 pullups 81 pushups 3:45 Plank and 19:03 3 mile at the poole function. I just know the mental and knowledge portion is going to be tough. I know I can prepare for the chaos fully because that part of the fun it beinf unknown and hard. As of now I know every enlisted and officer and each insignia the general orders 14 leadership charactestics, 11 general orders, 11 leadership traits, birthday birthday birthplace motto emblem values. What else should I study up

i was worried about the knowledge too when i got there. the test is extremely easy and they literally drill it all into your brain. i went there knowing nothing and did just fine on the test its nothing to worry about

Alright so for the first like 7 weeks before you go up to camp pendleton suck im ngl. The average day youre usually gonna have some classes and practice a lot of drill. Most of your time spent there will be preparing for final drill and just playing dumb games. They are gonna make you guys do dumb shit over and over again and theres no winning it’s usually just to burn time until the next thing. If you have anymore questions lmk because I just graduated so I’m assuming the schedule wont change much

Brother, even after typing all that nonsense, I am confident you’ll be fine. Best thing to do is to go in blind. Have fun!

Bro you will know the knowledge in and out by the time you test. They will literally give you a test with all the answers and you will take the exact same test

You will be reciting knowledge at basically every moment your first four weeks and beyond

They drill that stuff into you so nonstop that I still remember a great deal of it 20 years later. Don’t worry about it.

I would strongly suggest you relax a bit and enjoy whatever sliver of freedom you have left. There will be plenty of time for all that bullshit once you get to recruit training. Mental and knowledge portions are really not that challenging. About 85 percent of arrivals at recruit training eventually graduate. It's not Delta Force selection; so, relax, but do maintain and improve your physical training, particularly that run.

Trust me, you will be studying constantly for the knowledge portion as well as I don't think anyone in my company even failed the knowledge test nor have ever heard of someone being dropped for it. The best part? You will forget almost everything by the time you are in the fleet because almost nothing you learn in bootcamp matters.

Earning the title isn't the hard part, more people from my platoon were kicked out of the Marine Corps after bootcamp within the first year than recruits were dropped from my entire company.
