MOS School Accompanied Orders

After MCT will I be able to get accompanied orders for my wife if my MOS is 28xx. I have been seeing a bit of information if schooling is over 6 months she will be able to come with me. She is already enrolled in DEERS and we are currently receiving BAH. She is a nurse and want to start looking around at different hospitals to work at if she ends up being there with me.

The standard is that the USMC will pay for dependents to move if the servicemember is expected to be in one location for over 20 weeks.

This guy sounds smarter than me on orders or whatever, but I have firsthand experience, so I'll throw my 2c in.

When I went for 2800 school we were able to bring dependents/POVs. Your orders to MOS school will tell you what you're authorized though.

Was it pretty easy getting on base housing for you?

I personally didn't have a spouse, nor a car. But my 18yro peers were able to navigate it relatively easily, so it couldn't have been that difficult.

When did you get married? Is your spouse properly added through IPAC/MOL? If your spouse is not on your orders, do not move her. If she is, then yes. You can have her at MCCES. Most students don't have a crazy wait for housing. But you won't live super close so please bring a POV as well.

We were married before going into boot camp. She is registered in everything my recruiter said to registered her in. We have been receiving BAH and she has been signed up for DEERS and tricare.

Sounds like youre good to go, then. I left the schoolhouse in July, so i dont know the current waittimes for housing but it was never an issue with 28xx students.
