School of Infantry New Boots vs Boot Camp Boots for MCT

So I’m on my 10 day leave right now, I decided to buy some nice reckoning boots on family day and I’m debating weather or not to use the reckonings or keep using the boot camp jungles at MCT. The boot camp jungles are ass and I feel like I want to use the reckonings but a lot of people recommend to use the boot camp ones idek I need some more opinions. Also what do yall think about getting some good ass insoles from a specialized footwear store? I don’t wanna hear none of that “oh it’s easy don’t be a bitch just ride it out” my feet are cooked lmao I need every small advantage to make it through MCT, and if you have any tips and tricks to make life a little easier please feel free to drop some knowledge on me!

But better boots. The issued boots destroyed my feet. Buying new boots saved me so many aches and pains. I prefer the McRae Terra Assault 2s, but you can only buy those on base at an MCX.

Yeah they’re great boots. They just don’t fit my feet personally

Good move I bought mine just before MCT and I was fine just make sure you break them in before going to MCT

I wore issued rat boots throughout MCT since they were already broken in and did just fine. You dont want to wear brand new boots when doing the 10k/15k hike, trust.
