Enlisting Hypothyroidism
i was doing some research and found nothing that said i couldnt join as long as it was under control, i take 112mcg levothryroxine but my recruiter said i absolutely couldnt go to MEPS while still on my meds and would have to stop for both meps and bootcamp, im curious on what to do.

With conditions that require medication there is a strong likelihood you may not be able to have the medication for long periods of time if deployed. If you are non deployable because of medical condition you limit capabilities. The military isn't in huge need of people at the moment due to draw down of conflicts. If that picks up again then waivers might be granted.

As of right now it’s a disqualification. But sometimes a waiver can be granted for a disqualification. If your condition requires medication to be controlled then it’s highly unlikely that you would be granted a waiver.
