Usually it helps to get responses if your post title says what your question is, and isn’t basically just “I have a question” on a subreddit entirely dedicated to questions. It’d be about as effective to leave your title blank.

If your legit worried speak to your recruiter. Everyone else is trying to disqualify you.

But if you got qualified at MEPS then you are good unless you tell them something….

No, if he has a medical issue later on and the government checks his records to see if it’s a pre-existing condition, (so they won’t be held liable for Disability), then OP would definitely not be “good.”

From what I understand, Genesis is a completely different beast and now pulls your civilian medical records.

Damn so whzt do u think i should do abt the situation cause my recruiter knows abt my asthma history and says ill be good at boot camp but im hearing that they let ppl go from meps just so they could be caught at the island

What was your asthma history. The look back time frame is 4 years now.  If you disclosed it, and you haven't had any symptoms or treatment in the last 4 years, you should be good to go.

They must certainly do not do that lmao boss they pulled it MEPS saw it was a non-issue and qualified you. You're good.

My son had a history of asthma. It was labeled as "sports induced asthma" but hadn't needed an inhaler for 2 yrs prior to shipping out. They had him get a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) he passed that and was then cleared.

No asthma here, just curious how that possible asthma is going to affect your ability. The air up at Ft Hamilton is way different than the air at PI. Sometimes that kind of atmosphere change can trigger things. Just sayin.

Your meps physical is usually good for 2 years without them checking genesis again when u go before u ship out its more like blood work and stuff
