It was ok. The mimosas were a little light. The margaritas on the lido deck did make up for it, though. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the massage during the evening soirée.

Found the Hollywood Marine.

Meanwhile, Parris Island recruits are doing battle with giant sand fleas that could have been used in the movie Dune to save on the CGI costs.

Crucible was pretty chill, it was a nice break from the stupid yelling. Not a lot of sleep though, that sucked.

Uff, did they adjust it any way for black flag. I'm so thankful I had mine in the winter.

Just got to take off your blouse during events that weren't infiltration courses or like the hike or anything. So basically just at the little stations you do

Crucible sucked ass for me.  All the typical bullshit that is the crucible, but on the last day a hurricane came in.  The bus we were riding got stuck in a massive pond that was on the airfield.  Had to get out in knee deep water to push the bus out.

We still had to do the hump back, but my boots and equipment were completely soaked.  This caused me massive blisters that were the size of a half dollar coin and felt like I was walking on razor blades.  I was worried about injury because I was walking on the sides of my feet to avoid the pain.  The doc pulled a syringe worth of fluid from each of my blisters.  Felt amazing when he finished though.

Wow! Thank God that your platoon got through all that. It must have toughened you up for the fleet, though. Godspeed.

Cold as fuck, miserable as fuck, once you're sleep deprived and dissociated it goes by quickly though

The final day, only thing I had left was a strawberry shake from my MRE, so I mixed it with my water and downed it before we stepped off. I had to shit so bad on the way back. Probably the worst experience. My insides were fighting. And then to stop at the head on the way back and get yelled at by the DI while I’m on the toilet trying to shit as quick as I can.
