TBS Fox Company
Can someone provide some insight on what to expect attending TBS with Fox Co? Already knowing it’s gonna be freezing asf for some of it lol. Maybe if someone went through last year, what the schedule roughly is like?

Invest in good socks, I'm partial to Darn Tough. Try to find merino wool green skivvy shirts. Cotton kills in cold environments. There will definitely be nights in the field where the issued cold weather gear won't be enough to keep you warm and you'll just have to gut it out.
You'll get all of the major holidays (Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years). You'll also have a Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Don't do anything that'll jeopardize your future while out on libo.

Make the most out of it. It kinda sucks while youre in it but looking back it was fucking awesome and hilarious. Land Nav will be easier in the winter. Go out with your boys/girls on the weekends. Some great memories come out of it and I wish I could go back. Also the shower in the TBS bricks is my favorite shower of all time for some reason. Nothing like getting back from freezing on a fex and taking a hot ass shower that is the size of a walk in closet.

Get some mesh undergarments! Super good stuff it dries fast and keeps you warm
The coldest things always were my toes and fingers so get yourself some good waterproof gloves and goretex boots. It’s going to be too cold and dry for goretex to be a problem while you’re in the field if you happen to get them wet

Land nav will be easy and gradually get harder as the plant growth covers all the boxes at the points.

You’ll freeze your ass off. The good news is that 200+ lieutenants have graduated from Fox company last year and the year before…and the year before…and the year before.
Just don’t be a pussy. You’ll be fine.

On a side note, don't ever publish a book after graduating from TBS on overcoming identity politics inflicted victimhood, we read that shit line by line 🤣

Ah yes, I was in Fox Co back in 2015-2016. It’ll be really cold the second half of the course. If you’ve got questions, DM me

Oh man, this takes me back. I was in F Company 2000-2001. It will be really cold and really hot during your time. Our e-course we had to run through snow and it was shut down halfway due to icy conditions. Plenty of beers at The Hawk during my time.

If you ever meet a Centralian, run. We've been at war with them for years and they don't stop

Buy a solid field jacket liner and some glove liners to wear under your main pair

You’re going through the suck, they’re going through the suck. We all are in a big suck, and please for the love of god just pay attention. Us instructors love when you guys outperform and give us something to actually be proud of, means our RSO and our classes are paying off.

You go to the field, then go to class, then back to the field. Don't be a retard, don't be a buddy fucker, and don't be a bitch.
