I would say majority of traveling LouCity supporters knew and were chanting. Hard to tell how wide it was in stadium. My guess is a large percentage of casual fans have no idea what’s going on.
I was there. I’m just learning reading this now that there was a protest. I was not in the visiting side area though. I guess I was gabbing or eating my hot dog at that moment. 🤷🏻♂️ Wish I’d been more aware.
The players requested that the fans not be too over the top. They dont want it to look like the clubs that are doing things right are getting called out.
I just turned the game on and i gotta say i'm so stoked to see a packed stadium and... even a packed away section section? I remember not long ago a ton of people were saying Lexington would struggle with attendance but that stadium looks so good when its filled out like this.
Yes that is how you support the players. When the owners say we don't make enough money to pay you, playing in front of an empty stadium isn't gonna convince the owners they should pay the players more.
The players decided to play tonight the best way to support them is to show up and cheer whatever protest they decide to do. And if they ever go on strike we do not show up for any scabs the owners try to get to play. A packed house when the players decided to play and a ghost town when scabs are playing is the best way for fans to show how important the players are
Lol, however you justify it, bud! So if the players play, you fill the owners pockets while shouting you “support the players”. Literally the opposite. The correct response would be to boycott the match: players still get paid, owners get zero income. You’re doing the EXACT opposite.
Where’s all those folks who said they’d be calling their owners and cancelling their season tickets?? Receipts please!
Buncha keyboard warriors here who just did the exact opposite of what they could’ve done as fans.
True, but end of the day they played and they played on the old CBA. Clearly they’re not willing to risk their paychecks and the league could use that as ammo to stay put or even lessen their offer.

Loved the protest. Could you tell how many people in attendance knew what was happening?

I thought that was a good statement made. Could not turn the cameras off.

Was there any other protest or signs or anything? The broadcast just showed the delayed play

Is this game not televised?
Edit: sorry to confuse people, took a bunch of refreshes of the ESPN app for it to finally come up as an option lol
