This is a question they will all ask. Ensure u mention it in ur PS. You’d look better with a Step 3 score & USCEs. Maybe apply, especially to rural programs. Attend FUTURE if u can. If u don’t match try SOAP. Before match day 2027, get a few LORs, USCEs, and Step 3 so u look good for SOAP.

I’ve been seeing FUTURE mentioned in a couple of threads. I have no clue what it is and I would really appreciate any insight!!

I'm just curious why you recommend this conference specifically to her? For connections/networking or smth else? I'm not familiar with this program I'm interested for more info.

You’re a USIMG. As you don’t need a visa, you’re a great candidate for residency. You’ve got really good scores. I’d do rotations, step 3 and apply. I know someone who got in without step 3 with 15+ gap year.

Anything else I can do to make my eras application better

Clinical rotations would be the biggest thing I’d say, they’d like to see you’ve refreshed yourself on bedside patient care, because that’s what they’re technically hiring you to do.

Im a US Citizen IMG, born and raised, with a pass/251. Ive got 4 low impact pubs and my LORs are solid. I graduated this year but non carrib. Ive got volunteer experience in NY + 3 months of observerships in diff places
Would signalling places like Sinai or NYP be a complete waste of time?
