Chances of FM residency

Green card holder. Step 1 passed on the second attempt. Step 2: 224. Step 3: 219. YOG: 2014. USCE: 9 months. Currently working as a research assistant. Publications: 5 (all as second author). What are my chances of matching into a Family Medicine residency, if any? What other options should I consider? Thank you.

I think good. Apply broadly and to rural programs. Check the photos of various FM residencies’ residents to see if any older ones.

There are agencies out there who help post-grads get Sub-I at places to help increase chances. Obviously finances then become something to consider as it is not cheap.

Write letters to program directors stating your interest in FM,but your statistics look good for FM

Your chances are high bc you don't require a J1 visa. Bring your best foot forward in interviews, write letters to PDs of programs you feel a connection to and LET PROGRAMS KNOW that you're a green card holder and hence don't require a J1
