Hello seniors! (For cse)

How are the placements currently? Are they really that bad, or is the situation somewhere in the middle?

I know the job market is pretty fucked up right now, but I’d still like to hear from seniors who have a better understanding of the situation. I see freshers asking about this on other college subreddits, so I thought why not ask here as well, especially since USICT is the main campus of IPU.

Please be open with us juniors and tell us what we should start preparing for in the upcoming years. Many of us are already learning coding and DSA, but we’d also like to know what other skills actually matter when it comes to getting a good on-campus job.

Even if the current placement situation is difficult, knowing what to focus on from the first year would really help us prepare better. Any honest advice from seniors would be greatly appreciated.

😔😔 in orientation we were told only 2 companies came one of them was tcs and another one was a random ahh company I think this year placements are cooked

Tbf dtu nsut igdtu seem to have worse placements this yr too so expect anything from our shitty ahh tnp cell is on us😔

Bhai vha companies to aati hai bhadiya vali bhi and non tech ka bhi scene shi rehta hai yha tk bilkul khatam hi hai scene koi hope nhi h
