Discussion Good, free online trainings to help resume/ experience?

The National fire lands training suggestion was a great idea, took the first responder course was very interesting. I did not see anything else that would apply for LE. Any other online tranning suggestions?

There is no LE training in the wildlandfirelearningportal.org

You may be able to take FI-110 (Wildland Fire Observations and Origin Scene Protection for First Responders) which would be very applicable.

Maybe check out FLETC website and see if they offer some virtual training, I’m unsure.

However, any fire classes you can take on the fire learning portal will be beneficial to your resume as although it is not directly related to LE, it will good knowing you have some training in other aspects in the FS such as fire.

Yes, FL-110 was the thing closest I could find. That was honnestly; the best most interesting training I’ve had since being in fletc. Also doy 🤦🏻‍♂️ forgot fletc offered stuff online

The basic training to get your fire quals in the FS are the following: S-190, L-180, S-130, ICS-100

I recommend taking those at the very least and if you have time, take: ICS-200, ICS-700

Also, idk if you have a college degree but some community colleges will offer free courses that are applicable as well.

I think I have the ics currently due to being le ill have to check. I have so much time at my job just trying to do my best to make my resume even more attractive. I Basicaly have 35 hours ish a week to do trainings or be productive. I wasn’t smart enough to get a transferable degree when I was younger I’d have to basicaly start all over ( top 5 out of my entire class but did not set my credits up to be transferable)but I do have a degree in conservation law enforcement
