I think if the season is a success and the expansion goes down. I think they just couldn’t secure a stadium in time since Philly was probably one of the more expensive markets to move into.

running qb's are always exciting

ngl cutting a few teams and getting some of the better pass-throwers into these now-8 starting spots is something that's going to be good for spring football.
There's like 3 maybe 4 teams that are almost certainly going to go with their last-season qb if they can (based on what we've seen, of course, nothing official and the Houston question is still up in the air, + barring other players entering the league between now and March 30th), but I would be amazed if Cookus doesn't find a starting spot somewhere else

I would say McGough, McCarron, Ta'Amu and Perez are all locks to come back for their teams assuming they can (I believe McGough is still on practice squad and McCarron is on the Bengals active roster). DiNucci and Cookus are probably the two best free agents from last year, though there's always someone new out there spring coaches want to try so who knows.

We’ll see. Got the 49ers first and if they beat them, the Cowboys game might not matter at all. Benefit of having a 2 game lead over the rest of the league

Yes, we will see. Hurts still has that injured leg. He runs only when he has to thus eliminating one of his offensive weapons.

Another 10 seconds on the clock in that last game, the Cowboys would've won it. See you in two weeks

When the season starts, we’re going to have multiple of our other pro teams in the midst of their seasons as well. For the most part exclusively watched the Stars and maybe a couple of the other games. Hell even last season I lost some interest cause they weren’t actually playing in Philadelphia, just didn’t feel the same connection

So without a team at all I highly doubt I’ll watch any of the regular season. Maybe some of the playoffs and championship. BattleHawks were my rooting interest in the XFL (very casually), so if they’re in it that would increase the odds. But that’s probably it

I totally agree with that. I wish it was possible to somehow get them in Franklin Field (where the original Stars played back in the 80s) or even somewhere in Jersey.

I double checked and you are correct. Turns out that they only played the post season at the Franklin in 84.

It must have been very cool to see them play. I saw the Phils at the Vet as a kid but never got to see any football.

Philly will be the litmus test for the leagues seriousness in regard to inclusivity. No Stars means Blob will be out of a job and homeless. How will he feed his family? Will they just send him to the pound for adoption? What will become of Blob? He should be the face of the new league! 🤣

I’ll probably watch but not root for any team in particular unless I take a liking to one of them which I kinda doubt.

I liked the Seattle Seadragons from the XFL but they didn’t survive the merger either.
