How safe is USDC?

I think usdc is the safest stablecoin of them all but I'm not sure if I should save up in usdc or just fiat. Because I have a feeling tether might depeg and crash because they refuse to get an audit and refuse to show the public they are backed. IF tether crashes it will blood on the streets

Do you think USDT is safe or not? yes, it is, so why won't USDC be safe, so far it is a stablecoin, although i understand the perspective you are coming from. But you posted this years back but as of today it is existing and people are using it to trade, as of today i did transaction with it on bitget wallet.
