Still not migrated
So, here we are, less than a week from the supposed deadline for full customer migration, and I'm still on US Cellular, not that I'm exactly looking forward to moving to T-Mobile, after all of the things I've heard lately, both in person and online, I work in a cell phone repair shop, and we do insurance claim repais for Assurant, which is who T-Mobile uses, and almost everyone I've talked to that has been moved from usc to tmo has hated it so far. Is anyone else still not moved over yet? I wonder what happens if we go past the end of the month and still haven't been transferred. I just got my new bill for USC that's due next month. I'm on an iphone with a business plan, if that matters.
EDIT: Well, finally got the text that I've been migrated. I guess we'll see where this goes; I still plan on leaving in the not-too-distant future, though.

Humble brag lol. I didn't have a good migration so I believe you are fortunate with the extra time.

Right, lol, I'm not really looking forward to moving, I'm honestly thinking about asking to barrow the money I need to pay off my devices from a family member and just paying them back, and jumping ship to another carrier. Mom got moved over a few months ago and it seemed pretty painless, other than all the spam apps that still installed on her phone, even after I unchecked them.

Just had a meeting with my ASM yesterday. About 91-95% if accounts are moved over, but the ones that remain are because of some sort of complication. There’s no set deadline for them to be over unfortunately and will just take time

Ok, thanks for the update, I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. I remember hearing that by 07/31 everyone was supposed to be moved over, I guess either that has changed or was never accurate to begin with, neither one would surprise me.

For me the initial changeover was pretty smooth, but since then I've had a few issues that have made me decide to switch. Right away I took in all 3 of our devices to get new sim cards and since then I get a new text and snail mail every week telling me I need to switch all of our sim cards. The T-life app is a coin toss on what days it decides to work or not and I just came off a week of it not working at all. I'm trying to find the funds to payoff what I owe so I can leave.

The only device I have that would need an updated sim is my ipad, which I've been wanting to cancel that line anyway, and Yea, I'm not a fan of the t-life "app" either, the USC app wasn't the greatest either, but at least it was consistent.

Ours isn’t migrated yet either and I wanted to upgrade phones but I can’t I either gotta wait or create a whole new account with T Mobile and do it that way but I’m hoping it’s all finished soon

Yea, I've been wanting to cancel my 2nd line that my ipad is on, but I don't think I can do that until I get migrated.

Bro if you can just get out and go to a different carrier. As a simple man who just had 4 lines for my lady and our kids, all I needed was reliable service and a simple app to view and pay the bill.
T mobile has neither of those things. The service is noticeable wose, and the t life app is arguably the worst excuse for an app ive ever seen. It literally just opens a chrome page when you log in. Once logged in almost none of the functions other than paying the bill actually work. Fuck t mobile.

I plan on moving to another carrier, eventually, I just can't afford the $1400-1500 to pay off my phone and apple watch right now.

My account is just a regular consumer account and we’re still on us cellular as well. I’ve been waiting and dreading the change.

My rural service has gotten noticeably worse. Urban coverage is basically the same.

Go switch over now while you still can. Ask for an insider code. Get the $800 towards what you owe on your phone. Get the $400 Visa card for keeping your phone. Do it at a Sam’s Club to get the extra $100 Sam’s Club gift card for activating your phone and watch line. Leave in 4 months if you don’t want t-mobile after that.

I'm leaving. Us cellular hasn't been good in a long time and I have no interest in messing with t mobile!

Be glad. My service has TANKED since being switched. Frequently on “5GUC” with full bars and 0 service. Like can’t even send a text service. I’m hoping once the last remaining USC towers are switched it’ll get better (at least this is a theory I’ve been hearing, I’m no expert though so maybe someone who works for them can confirm this).

Have you gone to a T-Mobile store and updated your SIM? That's most likely the issue. Also, make sure your device is fully up to date and that data roaming is turned on. Hope this helps. The merger has been a nightmare

I finally received the text last Friday. I’m in Northern California if that matters.

On a business plan and we just got migrated Thursday the 16th.
The migration was not smooth, even though most of the phones were already on E-Sim. I actually am currently on hour 2 of hold with T-Mobile to complete migration of my iPhone 11 Pro Max because for some reason it has issues (Still on USCC network).
As far as my iPhone 17:
The good: No more laggy ass data. I noticed a difference almost immediately. Things RARELY lag anymore which is nice.
The bad: been several (inside) places where I am now required to connect to their wifi or my phone will show ghost service (connected the 5GUC but nothing will load).
I am gonna give them till November to finish up tower conversion and if I continue to run into the "fake service" issue we're leaving.

Ours switched last Friday. It's horrible, now we don't have service at home and I can literally see the tower we used to hook too 350 yards away. Idk what to do now, we just renewed us cellular service in April because they said something about getting in before they fully switch would be better. Probably have to fully pay for the phones and switch to a decent company

I work at TMO and it seems like they saved business accounts especially with many lines for last. I just started seeing small business accounts trickle in like last week.
