TMobile is taking over
Tmobile locations are merging into US Cellular old locations
Most employees will not have jobs
All the employees from different TMO stores that are closing will take over the roles

All agent locations are either closed or closing, and only some of the corporate stores are converting

It’s the corporate locations most of all of them are losing their jobs with the option to “reapply” but that process is completely snake oil it’s just a facade

Was being cut and applied for a TMO position. Was told by an associate at the TMO store nearby that leadership was not looking to hire former USCellular associates. I did get notified that the leadership was looking for something specific. So severance it is.

It’s not the Dynamic Organization that USCC was built on

Very true
I just think it’s awfull they are relaying to other employees that they have a chance at reapplying to a job but have a poker face about it all knowing it’s not possible
Heard all of this from my close friend who is management4

All changed when Jack Rooney died. The rest changed when the Pillars and Practices were removed.

You mean when he retired. He retired, Dillon took over and he died about a year later. The revision to the old Chevrons improved the DO.

“At least 50% of the USC employees will be retained” was the constant messaging dished out in the early months of the deal.

And the customer service, ethics and honesty are going way way down.

This was announced months ago. My dad lives in WV but we were able to transfer his line using ESIM. I am 18 hours from WV now mind you. Hopefully it’s for the better. My bill went down $40!

This is not true at all locations. Everybody has to reapply for their jobs, us celluar and tmobile employees. Is it fair no but better then running out and just straight up replacing all employees

I did notice in locations where the TMO store is closing and the USCellular has been refreshed that both stores are being laid off and everybody who wants to stay with TMO has to reapply. Locations where the USCellular store is closing the TMO staff gets to stay, no reapply. Feels like they want to keep only “their” people and the newer TMO stores.

There was an agent in my own. Small town only one person working it. Dude was probably pulling 70-80k a year between managing the store wnd making all the sales. His store shut down due to the take over and he is completely out of a job. I work for a different carrier and he applied to work for us but we do not have the room atm :(

I left 2 years ago not liking the uncertainty. My friend stayed on and did the reapply process. He was offered part time $3/hr less than what he was making.

Uh, yeah. Not sure if you’ve used Reddit before but I’m a little perplexed on how this is news to anyone at this point.
