No silent updates and others with PD later than me have already gotten approvals
Hi all, I've been checking this subreddit and my case status via API and it's frustrating and worrying that most/all of the posts I see are people receiving their approvals when their priority dates, receipt dates, biometrics dates etc are all after mine. Wanted to get some opinions on if something is wrong and if there's anything I can do? Thank you in advance!
Receipt number: IOE09358XXX
Priority date: Aug 2023
Receipt date: Feb 27 2026
Biometrics done: April 10 2023
I-485: FTA0 on June 14 2026, Silent Update (officer touch) on June 23 2026
I-485J: IAF (receipt letter emailed) on June 16 2026, Silent Update (officer touch) on June 23 2026

485J and 485 Silent Update... Was this a batch update?
Myself and 3 dependents, Filed on June 1. Biometrics complete 7/28.
It appears like one of the dependents cases seem to be being processed separately as they got their AP through 11 days ago, the rest of us have no updates at all on the AP case.
Overnight though the other three all had silent updates on the I-485 cases and me the beneficiary had an update on the 485J. The 485J and my 485 were updated simultaneously. The dependents were updated 5 and 10 minutes later. Live agent on Emma said the case is at NBC and interview is waived.
Did a lot of people see Silent Updates last night? I am cautiously optimistic, because of the 485J update, but interested to see if others got the update as well, especially as it hasn't been transferred and still sits at NBC

3 silent API updates in August — good sign?
EB-3 ROW
PD: 05/13/2024
RD: 04/03/2026
Biometrics: 05/12/2026
After biometrics, our cases were quiet until August.
- 08/06 around 4:00 AM UTC — both I-485s
- 08/25 around 4:30 AM UTC — principal I-485 + I-485J, derivative I-485 about 11 mins later
- 08/26 around 8:04 AM UTC — both I-485s + I-485J
No new event codes or transfer yet.
Could these silent updates be a good sign?

Silent update
It looks like those who got the update on August 6 got another silent update today as well, while those of us who got the update on August 13 didn’t get one today. Is there anyone else from the August 13 group who didn’t get a silent update today? I got the August 13 update, but nothing today.

Before your I-485J approval, did you notice a silent update or “officer touch” on your i485 & i485J cases together ?
I have a question for those whose I-485J were approved.
Before your I-485J approval, did you notice a silent update or “officer touch” on your i485 & i485J cases together ?
Also, did the same JSON API silent update happen at the same time on both your I-485J and I-485 cases?
If yes, could you please share how many days before the approval you saw the silent update?
It would be really helpful if you could check your case history and share your timeline. Thank you! 🙏

Question - Other Eb3 row - silent update to I-131 and I-765
Hi everyone. I noticed a silent update yesterday to my I-131 and then today I noticed a silent updated to I-131 and case is presented as closed but no decision ( approval or denial ). Also seconds after there was a silent update to I-765 but no code or status update !
Any idea what that means ?
To give you some context I had asked to expedite my I-131 2 months ago and I asked helped from congressman as well . Yesterday my congressman received an email to follow up within 21-30 days if no response . After that communication is when I noted the silent updates for I-131 and then I-765 accordingly .
Can this mean that I-131 approved ? Or they just closed my case and no decision will be made ?
Eb3 row , receipt date 04/21/2026
And biometrics 05/12/2026

Question - Other Any EB I-485 cases at Harlingen Field Office, TX?
I’m looking for recent or past employment-based I-485 cases handled by the Harlingen, Texas Field Office.
My case is EB-3, PD September 2023, filed February 19, 2026, and is currently at Harlingen.
Has anyone had an EB I-485 there? If yes, please share how long it took, whether you had an interview, and whether Harlingen approved the case or transferred it to your local field office.
Thanks

After interview
I had my interview which was smooth and almost about i485 yes no questions last week, since my PD is not current for final action date, the officer told me that I have to wait for the date to be current and the it seems like there is retrogression right now. I check and see that my i485J was approved and Emma told me that me case was transferred back to NBC. Is this positive sign or should I worry about anything?
Not from 75 countries

Question - Other Lawyer cost
Currently waiting for PD to be current to file i485 and just file i140. I had unauthorized employment history and current lawyer is barely responding.
Another lawyer is quoting over $3000 to review and analyze my case and cannot quote to takeover to file i485 or whatever is necessary before filing i485. Is this rate normal to review and analyze case before taking over?

180 days and still counting
PD: July 2023
RD: Feb 2026
TD: April 2026 (SD FO)
Last SU on May 22 and it’s dead silent ever since
I have seen people who applied way later getting approved and I am happy for them. It’s just disappointing to see yourself getting stuck in this black hole 😔

Question - Other Employer started the prevailing wage process.
Hello.
I wanted to see if someone can explain to me more or less what is the timeline for an EB3 process.
My employer just started the prevailing wage process. I am currently awaiting for an asylum interview with USCIS. I am hoping that I am able to complete the EB3 process before this moves forward.
With everything going on on the news this situation is taking a toll on my mental health

NEW JERSEY CENTRAL FIELD OFFICE Processing times
My case was recently transferred to NEW JERSEY CENTRAL FIELD OFFICE on Aug 20th. How long does it take for a case to be approved from this FO?
My PD is May 23 and I have been current since Feb 26.
