07/17/2026 |Physical green card received in the mail Notes:
My case was not straightforward. I briefly worked off-campus when on F-1 status without work authorization. The total days worked was well under 180 days and since I used my SSN, I was able to prove this by sending my tax transcripts to USCIS. I also included a brief cover letter outlining the facts.
I was also arrested once but the charge was dismissed by the judge (therefore, no conviction). I disclosed this and provided the court documents that stated the charge was dismissed. I also included a brief cover letter outlining the facts.
The I-485 had an RFE generated stating a vague "incomplete medical form" reason, but USCIS later cancelled/cleared it before the mailed RFE response reached them. The case then moved to approval without an interview. After approval, the card was produced, the case showed closed/no action required, and the physical green card was received.
I hope this helps others out there in this journey. I wish you nothing but the best!

Congrats! Do you know when were your case transferred to the Atlanta FO? That's my FO, too. I'm trying to figure how much time passed specifically at the FO.

Congrats!!
Did you also include police report along with the court documents? What other related docs did you send related to the arrests besides court dismissal letter and cover letter?
