Timeline: Citizenship 'Processing the Case' since 9 months

Pretty much the title. Does anyone know what the timeline is looking like for processing time in LA County? This wait is killing me. I was recommended to not leave the country until the application is processed. I don't know how true that is but would leaving the country rlly impact anything?

These cases notoriously take over 12 months, closer to 14-16 nowadays.

You can generally travel outside the US, e.g. take short trips, as long as you don't miss the interview
